Najirate
I developed an e-commerce site and logo design for Najirate, a brand in collaboration with a wholesale market in Niigata prefecture to sell local specialties, especially fresh seafood. The goal was to highlight the value of Niigata's unique products and to create an inviting site that showcases the richness of the region’s seafood and food culture.
The e-commerce site was built using Shopify, with design elements that reflect a traditional Japanese aesthetic. A washi paper-style background and a Japanese-inspired color palette bring out the high quality and heritage of Niigata's products. I designed the site with a clean, intuitive layout to offer users a seamless experience, making it easy for them to find and explore products comfortably.
For the logo design, we drew inspiration from the store’s name, “Najirate,” which means “How are you?” in the Niigata dialect. Each character in “な (na), じ (ji), ら (ra), and て (te)” is carefully combined into a single, unified symbol. This design represents community unity and the sense of connection and loyalty to the products and services offered. The logo captures both the warmth and regional pride of Niigata, emphasizing a welcoming feel with a sense of cultural heritage and solidarity.
